One profile attracts visitors with different questions.
A personal site can hold your biography, work, products, and appearances. It still asks every visitor to interpret the same navigation. A conference organizer and a newsletter reader should not have to follow the same path.
The result is a familiar pile of repetitive messages: availability, topic fit, where to start, what you offer, and how to contact you. The site published the facts, but it did not help the visitor apply them.
